The Porsche’s main plant in Stuttgart was the first plant in the German car industry an audit under the new, globally applicable energy management standard ISO 50 001 completed successfully. Also, the central spare parts warehouse in Saxony home near Stuttgart have passed these audits performed by TÜV SÜD successful as the car maker communicates.
, The new ISO standard 50 001 (the International Organization for Standardization) defines the requirements for an energy management system to improve over which a company’s energy-related services and systematically increase its energy efficiency. Porsche has integrated energy management system at its plants in Zuffenhausen and Sachsenheim the existing environmental management.
In recent years at both locations, the energy center was completely renovated and equipped with latest technologies, moreover, each of the CHP plant over a technology with very high efficiency. On the roofs of the central spare parts warehouse in Sachsenheim also obtained solar power: 8,500 photovoltaic panels generate roughly two million kilowatt hours of electricity per year. And in Zuffenhausen is the new painting with the latest plant technology in environmental protection shortly before the start of production.
